CalCCI Hires Rachel Mueller as Director of Advocacy

We’re thrilled to welcome Rachel Mueller as the new Director of Advocacy at California Coalition for Community Investment!

Rachel brings deep experience in legislative advocacy and coalition building, with a strong record of advancing equity-driven policy. She joined CalCCI in 2019, supported its formation, and quickly rose into a policy role, contributing to early wins like securing $50M in state budget funding for California’s CDFIs. Rachel has since been instrumental in expanding CalCCI’s presence at the Capitol, deepening relationships with legislative and administrative leaders, and growing our statewide coalition.

In her new role, she will lead our policy and budget campaigns at a critical time for community investment in California and will support our CDFI members in their advocacy.
