Senator Grayson District Meeting

CalCCI and the CAMEO Network recently met with Senator Grayson in Walnut Grove to discuss local projects and the vital role Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) play in supporting small businesses, nonprofit developers, and community-serving investments throughout the district. The conversation centered on how CDFIs provide flexible, relationship-based capital that helps projects move forward in communities that are often overlooked by traditional financing.

During the meeting, coalition partners highlighted real examples of CDFI-supported projects and emphasized the importance of continued state partnership to ensure these investments can scale and respond to local needs. We appreciated Senator Grayson’s engagement and interest in understanding how CDFIs strengthen regional economies, and we look forward to ongoing collaboration to advance inclusive economic development across the district.
